If anyone is happy about the Omicron strain of Covid, it's our dog, Delta. She was very tired of her name being used in a negative context.

On Josie's 75th birthday last year she and David released the video "Vignettes from the Prairie." For Josie's 76th birthday the "On with the Dance" video was released, complete with very obscure references including Barry Manilow.

In an off the cuff comment David said that he wanted a "green burial" (not immediately). This set Josie on to a several week quest for anyplace that would accommodate burials without a casket, without a "vault" and without major corporate requirements. Swing low, sweet chariot coming for to carry us home to Elkhorn Cemetery, a mere 20 minute final commute.

On April Fools' Day, Josie was having trouble with numbers, like the year she was born. Since she normally knows the year she was born, David knew that something was amiss. On April Fools' Day, Josie was having trouble with numbers, like the year she was born. Since she normally knows the year she was born, David knew that something was amiss. We called Nebraska Medicine and were told to go to the ER. It was confirmed that Josie had a small stroke. Fortunately she quickly came back to almost 100%. We still don't know the cause but Josie has an implanted monitor to check for A-Fib and this whole story is not a fib. This is what is known as a stroke joke.

Three Omaha authors met and shared each others' books. Quinn and Chelsea's book "A Night at the Farm" is being held by Amber Ruffin. She and her sister, Lacey Lamar, co-authored "You'll Never Believe What Happened to Lacey: Crazy Stories about Racism."

David was caught off guard when he learned that he had been selected for a Sierra Club Leadership Award for single-handedly solving the climate crisis.

David wrote and performed the music for a drug education LP and filmstrip. He was a graduate student at the University of Toledo at the time. He found out that the 1970 LP is on YouTube and that some collectors are willing to pay $450 for the original album. Talk about an overnight sensation!
